The deadline for buying 2011-2012 Chicago city vehicle stickers is this Friday.
Failure to purchase a new vehicle sticker from Chicago's City Clerk's office or from a participating alderman's office could result in a $120 ticket, which will be enforced starting Saturday.
For those who don't purchase their sticker by July 15, a $40 dollar late processing fee will also be required to obtain an updated sticker.
The 2010-2011 stickers expired June 30, but city auto owners were granted a two week grace period to purchase a new one.
A 2011-2012 passenger vehicle sticker costs $75, $120 for larger passenger vehicles. Senior citizens are eligible to receive one sticker for $30.
Residential parking permits must also be purchased by the deadline of July 15, costing $25 for an annual residential zone parking sticker and $8 for 15 residential zone daily guest passes.
Residents can purchase their tickets in person at one of more than 400 locations, which include currency exchanges, Dominick's grocery stores, City Clerk and Department of Revenue offices, or online at www.chicityclerk.com.
