Bears Sign Kicker After Friday Try-Outs

The Bears signed free agent kicker Redford Jones, according to his agency

The Chicago Bears reportedly worked out kickers at Halas Hall on Friday, and according to an agency, they signed at least one of them to a contract.

According to a tweet from EnterSports Management, the Bears agreed to a contract with kicker Redford Jones after the workout at Halas Hall.

Jones, who has not kicked at the professional level, kicked for Tulsa at the college level.

The Bears are expected to likely get rid of kicker Cody Parkey after his legendary "double-doink" miss during the NFC Wild Card Round, and ironically, Jones also had a similar moment during a 2016 game at Tulsa:

Unlike Parkey, Jones' kick actually went through the uprights in a game against Cincinnati.
