The Chicago Bears will celebrate their 100th season next year, and on Thursday the team unveiled the logo that will adorn that celebration all year long.

The Bears, who came into existence in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys, will host a whole series of events to commemorate the big occasion, and the team revealed the logo that will pop up all over Soldier Field:

The Bears' logo is modeled after one unveiled by the NFL, which will also be celebrating its 100th season next year:

Teams throughout the league will wear the logo as a patch on their uniforms next season, but the Bears will have their own logo in place of the NFL shield on their patches.

More details on what the Bears will be doing to mark the occasion will be revealed on Thursday at a Halas Hall press conference.
