Lyft, Budweiser Combat Holiday Drunken Driving With Free Ride Promotion

In an effort to combat drunken driving around the Thanksgiving holiday, beer company Budweiser and ride-share service Lyft are joining forces.

Starting Wednesday, Lyft will offer 12,000 free rides between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. through Saturday, in Illinois, New York, Florida, Colorado and Washington, D.C.

"At Lyft, safety and bringing people together are top priorities," said Oliver Hsiang, vice president of partnerships at Lyft. "By partnering with Budweiser to provide even more free rides over Thanksgiving, we hope to make it even easier and more enjoyable for people to get around safely over the holidays."

Adults 21 and older can obtain the ride code from Budweiser’s Facebook or by clicking here.
