The holidays haven’t even arrived yet, but Chicago is about to feel a lot more like January than December this week.
After a weekend snowstorm moved out of the Chicago area, dumping more than 10 inches of snow in some parts, brutally cold temperatures are now set to move in.
While Monday and Tuesday stay chilly, with highs sitting in the 20s, Wednesday will likely mark the first big drop in temperature.
Highs Wednesday will sit in the teens, with below-zero wind chill readings expected. Thursday looks to be the coldest day of the week as highs dip into the single digits, with wind chill readings between -10 and -20 degrees.
Friday temperatures return to the upper-teens and low-20s with light snow possibly developing in the afternoon and evening hours.
The weekend could see the return of measurable snow, according to early predictions, but that could change as the forecast develops.
