Brookfield Zoo Offering Free Admission to Kids

If your kids are looking for something fun to do before they go back to school later this month, then Brookfield Zoo has got you covered.

According to a press release issued by the Zoo, kids will be given entry into the zoo for free beginning on Monday. The promotion, sponsored by AMITA Health and Groupon, will run from Aug. 7-9, and will allow all kids 11 and under into the zoo for free.

Zoo hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adults will still have to pay the admission fee into the zoo, which costs $19.85, and seniors 65 and older can get admission for $14.50.

Several animals have given birth at the zoo in recent weeks, potentially giving zoo-goers a chance to see some babies. Two California sea lion pups were born in June at the zoo, and a Black-Crested Mangabey monkey was born at the zoo in July.

The zoo also unveiled new Mexican Gray Wolf puppies in May.

The zoo’s “Dinos and Dragons” exhibit will be open through mid-September, according to the release. The exhibit features animatronic dinosaurs, along with lizards and even Kimodo dragons.
