Body Pulled From Chicago River

A body was pulled from the Chicago River in the Bridgeport area Friday afternoon, police confirmed.

Police responded to the 2800 block of South Elanor Street about 2:18 p.m. to a call of a body discovered in the water. The victim, a male of unknown age, was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
