The Chicago Blackhawks have finally found out who they will play in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as they will battle the St. Louis Blues for the second time in three seasons.
The Blues had an opportunity to clinch the Central Division championship on Saturday night, but they were unable to beat the Washington Capitals, giving the Dallas Stars the title and forcing the Blues to settle for the second seed.
The series will begin Wednesday or Thursday night, with the Blackhawks travelling to Scottrade Center in St. Louis to open the series against the Blues.
The last time the Blues and Blackhawks played against one another in the postseason was in 2014, when the Blues held home-ice advantage. They won the first two games of the series, but the Blackhawks stormed back and won the next four games to advance to the next round of the postseason.
