An Aurora teen pleaded not guilty Monday to charges connected to an October crash that killed another student.
Logan Krogman was charged with reckless homicide following the Oct. 23 crash that killed Metea Valley High School sophomore Devin Meadows.
Krogman, who has celebrated his 16th birthday since the crash, lost control of the car, flipped it and crashed into the garage of a home on Hamman Way at about 1:43 a.m., authorities said.
In their indictment, authorities allege Krogman was driving 90 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone
The indictment states Krogman, who did not speak at Monday’s hearing, was driving 90 mph in a 25-mph zone with “intent to get the vehicle to go 100 mph."
Meadows was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to police. He died at the scene of head injuries. Krogman and two other teens suffered only minor injuries.
No one in the home was injured.
Krogman remains free on $75,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 28.
