A group of burglars abandoned an early Sunday heist at a high-end Magnificent Mile clothing store when they set off an alarm at the downtown shop.
About 2:50 a.m., the would-be thieves forced their way through an alley door to Burberry at 633 N. Michigan, police said.
But after activating a burglary alarm inside the stairwell, the group ran away without taking anything, police said.
Detectives were questioning four people of interest in connection with the burglary Sunday morning.
