Young Woman Robs Downtown Chase Bank

The robbery happened just before 9 a.m. in the River North neighborhood

Police are searching for a young woman who robbed a downtown Chicago bank Tuesday morning.

The woman, believed to be in her 20s, held up a Chase Bank branch in the 600 block of North Dearborn Street just before 9 a.m., according to the Chicago FBI.

She was wearing dark clothing, a baseball cap and sunglasses and carrying a black purse. 

FBI officials said the woman handed a bank teller a note demanding money and implying she had a weapon, threatening harm if her demands weren't met. She received an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.
