Wounded Man Flees Scene Where 3 Others Shot Near Green Line Stop

Four people were shot Wednesday near a Green Line CTA stop on Chicago’s South Side—including one in critical condition who ran from first responders attempting to treat him, Chicago fire officials said.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 6200 block of South King Drive in the Woodlawn neighborhood, police said. All of the victims were males, but ages weren’t available, Chicago fire officials said. Two of the victims were taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago and another was taken to Stroger Hospital.

Another victim was going to be treated but ran from the scene, fire officials said.

The shooting occurred about a block from the King Drive Green Line stop.

No other information was immediately available.
