A 29-year-old woman was shot and killed after an altercation at a park near Dominican University in west suburban River Forest.
The woman, identified as Chevron Alexander, was on the 7200 block of West Division Street when she apparently got into a fight with two men Monday night, River Forest police said.
Alexander was shot three times and was later pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, according to police.
Two men are in custody as of Tuesday morning, but no charges have yet been filed.
Dominican University issued a statement saying the incident did not involve their students and that there is no danger to the community.
