A woman has died after a fire at her home in the southern Chicago suburb of Tinley Park.
Friday night's blaze heavily damaged the home where the 78-year-old woman lived alone.
Fire Chief Ken Dunn tells the Southtown Star crews extinguished the fire in about 15 minutes.
He says the woman was taken to a hospital in New Lenox, where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
