Angry Diner Attacks Restaurateur Over Bill

The owner of a Tinley Park restaurant suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung

A diner upset about his bill allegedly attacked a Tinley Park restaurant owner last week.

Police responded to a fight Friday night at Outriggers, at 15917 S. Harlem Ave., and found Dimitri Mikroulis slumped over his desk. He was taken to an area hospital and treated for broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

Donovan Lee Campbell, of 11145 S. McGovney St. in Mokena, was arrested and charged with battery, Tinley Park Police Cmdr. Steve Vaccaro said.

Mikroulis told police he asked Campbell to leave Outriggers after Campbell started arguing about the bill for his meal. Campbell allegedly started hitting Mikroulis in the ears with both hands and punching him in the chest.

Two employees restrained Campbell until police arrived.
