The sold-out REO Speedwagon concert scheduled to take place at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet this weekend has been postponed for health reasons, said vocalist Kevin Cronin.
Cronin released a statement on Thursday asking fans for their understanding as he expressed his disappointment that “the greatest fans in rock ‘n’ roll” have to change their plans. The concert slated to take place Saturday was rescheduled for March 8.
The statement said the artist is in need of a routine procedure that could take place at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
“There are times in life when our bodies send us messages that we can’t ignore & this is one of those times,” said Cronin. “Fortunately for me, it is nothing life-threatening…My doctor says I will be good as new.”
