A male was shot early Saturday on the Stevenson Expressway.
The male, whose age was not immediately available, was shot in the leg on outbound I-55 near South Central Avenue, according to Illinois State Police. He was taken to MacNeal Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooter was last seen in a gray Volkswagen driving southbound on Central, police said.
All southbound I-55 lanes were closed at Central, according to police, but began reopening shortly before 9 a.m.
