Reward Offered in Oak Brook Murder

Police want to talk to ex-husband, who is armed and dangerous

Authorities are offering a $1000 reward for anyone who can help Oak Brook police solve the execution style shooting death of Melissa Bridgewater.

Police have named 48-year-old Jerry Hudson, of Bolingbrook a “Person of Interest” in the death of his ex -wife, who was found shot to death in her car at a hotel parking lot after a New Year's Eve party.  Their investigation found he made several threatening statements to her just prior to the homicide.

The DuPage County Crime Stoppers announced the monetary reward Sunday evening and is asking anyone whohas any information to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Hudson’s family has been uncooperative with investigator’s efforts to locate him, and police believe that Hudson’s family and friends may be assisting in concealing his whereabouts.

Hudson is considered armed and dangerous. No warrant has been issued for his arrest but police would like to speak to him about the crime.
