Missing Lansing Brothers Found Safe

They had been missing since Saturday, police said

Two brothers missing since Saturday afternoon were found safe in Lansing, officials said.

David Surratt, 10, and Charles Surratt, 13, were found safe in an apartment near the 2100 block of 175th Street, a few blocks from their home in the 17700 block of Rosewood Drive, according to the Times of Northwest Indiana.

The publication reports the boys told detectives they had slept outside in a field near their home. The brothers were waiting Monday afternoon for their family to pick them up from the police station.

Police had issued a news alert to help find the boys.
