A 41-year-old man was beaten to death with a bottle Monday evening in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
Paramedics called for help from police after finding the man about 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 63rd Street and Ashland, according to Chicago Police.
He had been hit in the head with a bottle during a fight, police said.
The man died at Stroger Hospital at 7:13 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His name was withheld pending notification of his family.
Area South detectives are handling the homicide investigation.
