The van was in an attended parking lot near Grant Park. The band listed 97 instruments and pieces of equipment in the trailer, including six guitars and seven drums, among other items.

An estimated 270,000 people attended the annual Grant Park music festival throughout the weekend.

Despite additional security measures, packs of up to several hundred teens tried to topple chain-link fences along the east side of Grant Park Sunday afternoon. The gate crashers reportedly organized through a Facebook group.
