Buzz: Loukas, former Olympian and nine-time national diving champion, competes in the 3 meter springboard semifinal. The Riverwoods native and former Indiana University diver won her slot on the USA Dive Team June 17-24.

Men's Basketball

Locals to watch: Anthony Davis, Andre Iguodala, Deron Williams, Kevin Love
Buzz: The men's team is going for their fourth-straight win in the London Games on Saturday. The team played a close match, winning 98-71 against France, and won by whopping 110-63 against Tunisia. On Thursday, the men beat Nigeria 156-73. They will face off against Lithuania, who has lost two games and won one during the preliminary games.

Event: Men's Volleyball

Locals to watch: Sean Rooney
Buzz: The gold medal-winning team opened play on Sunday with a sweep of Serbia. Wheaton native Sean Rooney and the rest of Team USA looked strong and confident during their first performance in the London Games. The men remain undefeated with a 3-0 shutout against Germany and a 3-1 win over Brazil. Team USA will face off in Saturday's match against Russia.

Event: 10,000m Race

Locals to watch: Dathan Ritzenhein
Buzz: This two-time Olympian, also known as the "The Ritz," holds the American record in the 5k run. The prominent runner from Rockford, Mich. earned is spot on the 2012 Olympic Team despite previous foot injuries from running.

Event: Field Hockey

Locals to watch: Kayla Bashore-Smedley
Buzz: A pair of teams coming off defeats face off. The United States (1-0-2), which lost 1-0 to Australia on Thursday, needs a win to even its record and move up in Group B, where three teams have six points. One of them is New Zealand (2-0-1), which fell 2-1 to Argentina on Thursday.

Locals to watch: Bob Willis
Buzz: Willis is a unique member of the Olympic windsurfing team. He is currently the only Olympic windsurfer not from California or Florida and is representing Chicago fairly well. He is set to compete in Race 7 and Race 8 in hopes of improving his statue to a medal position.

Event: Triathlon

Locals to watch: Gwen Jorgensen
Buzz: Jorgenson is Team USA's best hope for it's first gold in this event. The Waukesha, Wis. native left her job as a tax accountant to train for the Games. She joined Team USA's Triathlon team Aug. 6, 2011 and is ranked as the second American in the 2012 World Triathlon series.
