A woman was struck Wednesday morning by a hit-and-run driver on South Lake Shore Drive near Grant Park.
Police said the woman was hit around 8 a.m. by a maroon Saturn in the 500 block of South Lake Shore Drive, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Her age and identity remain unknown.
The Sun-Times reports people who witnessed the crash may have followed the hit-and-run driver. It's not known whether the driver was stopped.
