Depeche Mode's new U.S. tour will stop through Chicago this spring.
The English electronic band announced this week "The Delta Machine North American Tour" opens Aug. 22 in Detroit with a Windy City stop on Aug 24. The 19-date tour concludes in Phoenix.
Martin Gore, an original founder of Depeche Mode, said he is looking forward to the tour.
“When we’re performing, the stage almost becomes a mirror for the people who have been there since the beginning, and we become a reflection of our audience,” Gore said in a statement.
The last time Depeche Mode was in Chicago they performed at Lollapalooza in 2009. The band's last tour, Tour of the Universe, was worldwide in 2009-2010.
