The Department of Children and Family Services in Illinois is investigating the death of an infant in the Austin neighborhood on Chicago's West Side.
Gabriel Williams, who was just 1 month old, was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. His family lives in the 5400 block of West Augusta Boulevard.
According to DCFS, the child's parents are being investigated on allegations of neglect, the Sun-Times reported. But the family had not been investigated prior to this incident.
Three other children in the family are now staying with other relatives.
