Police are still searching for the person responsible for an attack and robbery of an elderly woman in Old Town.
The 90-year-old woman, who lives on the 1400 block of North Mohawk, was bringing groceries to her home last Thursday around noon when she was attacked and knocked to the ground as she opened her gate.
She was robbed of $250 in cash as well as some of her groceries, according to DNA Info.
Neighbors said they would often see the woman walking around the neighborhood. Now, she is being treated at Northwestern Hospital for a fractured hip.
“It's insane and ridiculous” said neighbor Michael Dominguez.
“It's just gross,” said neighbor Graham Pickerin. “Sad thing to do. I feel pity.”
