A 19-year-old man has died and three others were wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Chicago's West Garfield Park.

According to police, three victims were critically wounded in the shooting, and the 19-year-old was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Authorities were called at 2:49 p.m. for reports of multiple people shot near Madison Street and Keeler Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago police and fire officials.

A white sedan was spotted near the scene, and one of the occupants had opened fire, striking the four men as they stood in front of a store.

Three were taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt said.

A fourth later walked into Loretto Hospital with a gunshot wound, Merritt said. His condition was unknown.

There are no suspects in custody, and Area North Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting.
