Three people were injured during an altercation that led to a stabbing in Chicago's Loop early Sunday morning.
Police said two groups of people in their 20s were passing each other near Michigan and Wacker around 2 a.m. when an altercation broke out.
One man in each gruop began fist fighting, police said.
Another man the pulled out a knife and attacked three people in the group.
Two people were slashed by the knife and a third person was stabbed.
Police said the 21-year-old stabbing victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition. The two people who were slashed, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, were both taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
No one was in custody as of 9 a.m. Sunday and police said an investigation is ongoing.
