2018 Lollapalooza Music Festival Returns to Chicago

The highly anticipated 2018 Lollapalooza music festival returns to Chicago this summer and tickets go on sale Tuesday.

Chicago's annual music festival announced its 4-Day General Admission ticket will go on sale for $335 (not including taxes and extra fees) Tuesday, starting at 10 a.m. CT.

According to Lollapalooza’s official site, the event is considered more than just a festival, “Lolla is a four-day cultural experience.” Moreover, it is actually considered Chicago's largest music festival as well.

The event will take place Aug. 2-5 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day. Grant Park—an area covering a total of about 115 acres between Downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan—will host over 170 performances on 8 stages.

The site said General Admission includes autograph signings and food will be available from over 35 award-winning chefs and restaurants with vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free options. Festivalgoers can also expect to see bars and concessions throughout the park.

Official band merchandize will also be available for purchase throughout the park.

Other tickets that are available for sale at a later date are:

1-Day General Admission Ticket (enjoy the specific artists performing on the given day of your ticket purchase)

- 4-Day VIP Ticket (all the access of a General Admission ticket with added comfort and class)

- 1-Day VIP Ticket (enjoy the specific artists performing on the given day of your ticket purchase with added comfort and class)

- 4-Day Platinum Ticket (upgrade your ticket for greater access and enhanced experience)

- 1-Day Platinum Ticket (upgrade your ticket for greater access and enhanced experience for one day)

- Hotel Packages (receive a 4-Day General Admission, VIP, or Platinum Ticket along with lodging near the park and festival merchandise)

Although the lineup for the festival is revealed closer to the date of the event, last year's headliners included The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Wiz Khalifa, and Muse.

In addition, children 10 and under are allowed free access to Kidzapalooza, an enclosed Grant Park area that “offers parents and kids the opportunity to catch family-friendly music on its own stage while taking part in activities like skateboarding demos, hip hop workshops, a music video tent and much more.”
