1 Injured as Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Kendall County

One person was injured after a two-person propeller plane made an emergency landing in unincorporated Kendall County Sunday morning, officials said.

Police responded to an area on Sedgewick Road west of Cook Road around 10:53 a.m. for a report of an accident involving an airplane, according to a press release from the Kendall County Sheriff's office.

The airplane, identified as a two-passenger CTLS propeller plane, was heading to Waukegan and made an emergency landing in the area. The cause of the emergency landing was not immediately known as of Sunday afternoon.

The plane had taken off from an airport in St. Louis, officials said.

Two people on the plane were transported to Valley West Hospital, one person had minor injuries.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
