Writer, yoga teacher and self-appointed ecstasy expert David Romanelli, who you may know from his Yoga + Wine seminars and Yoga + Chocolate experience that he co-founded with college friend Katrina Markoff of the Chicago-based Vosges Haut-Chocolat, has complied all of his off-beat wisdom in a new book, "Yeah Dave's Guide to Livin' the Moment."
The tome's subtitle pretty much says it all: "Getting to Ecstasy Through Wine, Chocolate and Your iPod Playlist." Romanelli's musings include 26 chapters of such unlikely and amusing events as getting kicked out of meditation camp for packing muscle relaxers and classifying different types of hugs to determine if a person wants to sleep with you. (Check out the humorous short videos on the Amazon page to see for yourself.) Romanelli himself describes his unique outlook on life as "Deepak Chopra meets Cheech and Chong."
Romanelli will join up with Markoff for a book-signing bash at the Armitage Avenue Vosges boutique on Thursday, April 2 at 7:30PM. Markoff will lead a guided chocolate tasting while Romanelli reads from his book, which will be available for purchase (and autographs) at the event.
