It's official. You no longer need friends. (Well, except on Facebook.)
But in real life -- nope. Man really IS an island. Gone are the days of visiting friends in the city, and having them show you around. All you need is your IPod (or IPhone) and you can get a darn good tour by downloading the Audissey Guides tour of Chicago.
Plug in your ear buds and head to local hot spots like Andy's Jazz Club with narrator Kevin Coval. (We weren't cool enough to know who he was, so we looked him up.) Turns out he's a local hip hop poet, and frequent guest on HBO's Def Poetry Jam. All we can say is that he's bringing sexy back with that voice. You won't want to hang with any actual people once you hear him describe the city.
The download is free, so add it to your ITunes library, right along with Britney's comeback CD.
