PORTLAND, Oregon — Brandon Roy scored a career-high 52 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with a minute left, as the Portland Trail Blazers came back to beat the Phoenix Suns 124-119 in the NBA on Thursday.
Roy was 14-of-27 from the field and 19-of-21 at the foul line as he far outstripped his previous best of 38 points set just last Friday.
The victory ended an Portland's 11-game losing streak to Phoenix dating to March, 2006.

In Orlando, Florida, Jameer Nelson scored 24 points to lead Orlando over San Antonio, notching a seventh win from eight games.
Dwight Howard had 14 points and 13 rebounds. He picked up his fifth foul halfway into the fourth quarter and went to the bench but the Magic had become accustomed to that as the All-Star center was sidelined for the past two games by a sore knee.
