‘She Was Everything': Mourners Grieve For Mother Killed While Pushing Car in Streamwood Road

Connected by grief and their love for a young mother, Thursday night family and friends gathered in the cold - trying to make sense of the tragedy that took Arias Cobian’s life

"Arias touched every person’s heart here at one point or another," Mary Llinas, Arias' mother, said. "She was my baby, my first born."

Monday evening Cobian's car broke down on Lake Street in Streamwood.

She and her cousin were pushing the stalled car to safety, when a pick up truck slammed into the back of the car, killing her. The driver of the truck, 67-year-oldHinigo Olvera, of Schaumburg, was arrested and charged with DUI causing death.

Kanaesha Wilson says the bond she had with Cobian was like no other.

"She was everything," she said.

Cobian leaves behind four young children. She was 11 weeks pregnant.

"There are so many more people turning on candles for Arias tonight," Wilson said. "They are honoring her and the baby she didn’t get to have."

A GoFundMe page has been established to help Cobian's family.
