A distributor of tire valve stems is recalling 1.8 million of them after NBC Chicago reported some of the parts were cracking, leaking air and leading to a danger of blow-outs.
One death has been blamed on the defect.
Dill Air Controls Products of North Carolina announced the recall this week.
