The Finch Gallery plays host to two opening receptions this weekend, both for Presidents of the United States: a solo exhibition by photographer Karen Hoyt. A grade-A portraitist, Hoyt has shot photos of David Byrne, Tito Puente, and other notables, but this exhibition will focus on images she took of the less-celebrated residents and corners of Englewood (her former neighborhood of residence). Presidents will feature large-format prints, as well as images projected onto the gallery's street-side façade. A monolith will also be debuted at the receptions, which take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20, from 6-11 p.m. Through Oct. 25.
