Brad Pitt is reportedly donating $100K to fight a California November-ballot initiative aimed at eliminating the right to gay marriage.
“No one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8,” the actor said in a statement, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Brad’s donation is the largest to a campaign against Proposition 8, by an A-list celebrity, according to the newspaper.

The “Burn After Reading” actor is well known for his charitable efforts. He and partner Angelina Jolie regularly contribute to children’s causes. Brad is also highly involved in helping the New Orleans area devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
In 2006, Brad said he and Angelina would not marry until all couples had the same rights.
“Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able,” the star told the October 2006 issue of Esquire.
