From a BGA News release: The Better Government Association (BGA) today announced that Executive Director Jay Stewart is immediately departing to serve as Counsel to Illinois Lt. Governor Pat Quinn. Stewart begins his new position tomorrow.
“As executive director of the BGA, I developed a greater appreciation for the important role ethics plays in the efficient functioning of government. I welcome this new challenge and look forward to returning to the Lt. Governor’s staff,” Stewart said. “The BGA is a vitally important organization and I take great pride in its many recent accomplishments, including revitalizing the investigative program, helping to craft good government laws, and winning important public interest litigation.”
