  • Rob Stafford

    Prior to joining NBC 5, Rob was a correspondent for the award-winning NBC newsmagazine, Dateline NBC. His Dateline report on hazing in the United States Marine Corps received a national news Emmy in 1997, and he was also nominated for Emmys in 1998 and 1999. In 2000, Stafford received an Edward R. Murrow Award for his Dateline investigation into racial profiling.

  • Carol Marin, Politics, Government

    An award-winning reporter, Carol has won journalism's highest honors including two George Foster Peabody awards, two duPont-Columbia awards and two national Emmys. The awards cover a wide range of work that includes investigative reporting on political corruption and organized crime and a 20-year documentary project on the challenge of the facially disfigured.


  • Lisa Parker, Consumer

    Lisa Parker joined NBC5 in 1996 and initiated the Target 5 consumer-investigative unit. Her reports have since garnered 12 Midwest Emmys, two Edward R. Murrow Regional RTNDA awards, two Gracie Allen awards, and several state and local broadcast awards. Parker brings a depth and dimension to NBC5's investigative consumer reports, a style that brings real benefit for viewers. From the real stories of everyday consumers to the national issues, Parker investigates the things that matter most to you.

  • Phil Rogers, Politics, Government, Transportation

    Phil Rogers joined NBC5 News as a general assignment reporter in May 1993 and has covered everything from the War in Iraq to the Rod Blagojevich trial. Rogers is a five-time winner of Best Reporter honors from Associated Press and United Press International, as well as the recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative reporting.


  • Marion Brooks

    Brooks joined NBC5 in 1998 as a weekend anchor from Atlanta, Ga. She's covered everything from major natural disasters to politics, crime and courts to health, consumer issues to two Olympic games, and much in between. Brooks is the recipient of numerous prestigious journalism awards for both anchoring and reporting.

  • Chris Coffey

    Chris Coffey joined NBC 5 Chicago as an investigative reporter in July 2013. He is a member of the NBC 5 Investigates team. Coffey previously served as an investigative reporter at the NBC-owned station WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, where he was a founding member of the Troubleshooters unit. Chris uncovered examples of government waste and exposed flaws in the region's aviation safety system. He also introduced viewers to the first-responding Newtown police officers, who shared their struggles following the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary. More »

  • Katie Kim

    Katie Kim joined NBC 5 as a general assignment reporter in October 2014. Before moving to Chicago, Katie spent four years in the Land of Enchantment, better known as Albuquerque, NM. She was an Emmy-nominated investigative reporter for the CBS-affiliate, KRQE-TV. There, she covered city and state politics, highlighted government waste and focused on data-driven reporting. More »
