A Roseland neighborhood man who allegedly wrote a message threatening Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has been charged with a felony.
Maurice Pennington Sr., 56, of the 10300 block of South Indiana Avenue, was arrested at his home Thursday and scheduled to appear in bond court Friday, officials said.
Pennington, a convicted sex offender, is accused of writing the threatening message court filing documents, police said in a statement.
He reportedly was challenging the constitutionality of a law requiring him to register as a sex offender.
More specific details of the threat were not made available.
