No Blagojevich Subpoena for Rahm

Rahm Emmanuel has not been subpoenaed by former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's lawyers. At least not yet.

Talking to reporters after speaking at at the Richard J. Daley Global Cities Forum at the University of Illinois-Chicago, Emmanuel said simply "no", he had not been subpoenaed.

That Emanuel was not subpoenaed may seem strange to some observers, especially given the news that Sen. Dick Durbin -- who presumably is less involved in the case -- has received a court order.

Rahm spoke at the conference a week after he publicly announced his ambition to become mayor of Chicago on PBS' Charlie Rose. Mayor Daley, for whom Emanuel has worked, said Emanuel wasn't "stepping on my toes."
