The Race: Republican Party Candidate for Illinois State Senate in the 9th District
The Competition: Daniel Biss
The Buzz: Farkas is running on a campaign that he is frustrated with the government on all levels. He believes the current State legislature is corrupt and ineffective and wishes to implement conservative principles of limited government, pro-growth tax policy and personal accountability. Farkas wishes to lower sales, property and income tax rates as well as implement responsible and efficient spending policies.
He believes in heterosexual marriage but also recognizes the legitimacy of Civil Unions. He is pro-choice and believes access to contraception and increased education can minimize the number of abortions necessary.
