Could Obama Attend Tonight's Hawks Game?

President Barack Obama arrives in Chicago for two fundraising events on the same night as the Blackhawks face a do-or-die Game 7 against Detroit at home.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

Obama is an unabashed Chicago sports fan. He even talked up the Hawks' record start to the shortened season when honoring the L.A. Kings earlier this year for their 2012 Stanley Cup victory.

The timing also works out for the president to make a cameo at the United Center, but if he attends, he'll be a little late.

Obama's first event is scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hilton Chicago followed by a 7 p.m. dinner at the home of supporters Bettylu and Paul Saltzman that's scheduled to last until 9 p.m.

He won't travel back to Washington until Thursday, though, leaving him the rest of the night to relax at his Kenwood home -- or cheer on a favorite Chicago team.
