Fan Steals Hockey Player's Helmet During Blackhawks Game

Fans then proceed to steal Pardy's helmet, douse him in beer

It was a great night for the Chicago Blackhawks on the scoreboard against the Winnipeg Jets, as they knocked off their Central Division rivals for the second time in four days in a 4-1 triumph at the United Center.

Fortunately for some fans at the Madhouse on Madison, the action wasn't just limited to the ice, as Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig drilled Jets defenseman Adam Pardy into the glass in the third period of the game. The hit sent a panel of glass flying into the crowd, and a fracas soon ensued that took up just about every player on the ice.

In the melee, something interesting happened. Here is extended video of the play from Comcast SportsNet:

As you can see, a fan actually steals Pardy's helmet, and another fan throws beer onto him. In credit to Pardy, he did not react violently to the beer throwing like Ron Artest did when a Detroit Pistons fan pelted him with alcohol in a 2004 game, but we still have to ask Hawks fans: what did you think of the sequence? Was it a harmless joke, or behavior that should be condemned by the organization?
