The Chicago Bears had a short week to prepare for the Green Bay Packers, and they’ll be without at least one key component of their defense on Thursday night.

That player is safety Quintin Demps, who injured his arm late in Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Demps broke his left forearm in the game, and he has been ruled out for the Bears as they released their final injury report of the week.

Linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, who is dealing with a pectoral injury, has been listed as doubtful by the Bears as they prepare to take on their divisional rivals.

Josh Sitton, who suffered a rib injury in Sunday’s game, and Hroniss Grasu, who injured his hand in the contest, are both listed as questionable for the Bears.

If Kwiatkoski is unable to play, then Bears fans should expect to see a lot of John Timu in the middle of the field on Thursday night. The linebacker played plenty of snaps after being elevated from the practice squad last week, and he could see even more action in this one.

The Bears’ offensive line remains another question mark. If Grasu is unable to play, Cody Whitehair will slot into the center position, with Tom Compton playing the guard spot if Sitton is unable to play.

Kickoff between the Bears and Packers is slotted for 7:25 p.m. on Thursday night, with the game airing on NFL Network.
