Despite suffering a hip injury in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was a full participant in the team’s first practice of the week Wednesday.

Trubisky, who was removed from the game late in the fourth quarter of the contest, is still listed as “day-to-day” by the team, but his full participation in practice is a good indication that he will be ready for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Offensive lineman Bobby Massie, who came out of Sunday’s game with a back issue, also practiced in full for the Bears on Wednesday.

A pair of Bears players did not practice on Wednesday, as tight end Adam Shaheen remained sidelined with a foot injury. Shaheen has been out for the team’s last two games, leaving an already-depleted tight end group even thinner in terms of depth.

As a result, the Bears activated tight end Jesper Horsted from the practice squad.

The Bears also said that linebacker Danny Trevathan remains out with an elbow injury. The linebacker suffered the injury in a Week 10 win over the Detroit Lions, but there’s no word on when he will return to the mix for the club.

For the Giants, tight end Evan Engram missed Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury, and tight end Rhett Ellison was also out with a concussion.

Offensive lineman Jon Halapio, cornerback Janoris Jenkins, offensive lineman Mike Remmers and wide receiver Sterling Shepard all were full participants in the workout for New York.

Kickoff between the Bears and Giants is set for noon on Sunday as the Bears head to the Meadowlands.
