Ivonne Ramírez is a Senior Digital Video Producer for the Telemundo/NBC Chicago digital team. She primarily produces and edits Spanish-language digital video content for web and social media platforms helping deliver breaking news and local stories to online audiences. Up to the present, she has heavily covered the COVID-19 pandemic, presidential elections, immigration and ICE raids in her digital coverage.
Ramírez began her career as an intern in the news department at Telemundo Chicago before joining the station’s creative services team. There she edited topicals, commercials and full episodes for the local entertainment show 'Acceso Total.
She later covered Latino community stories for Hoy the Spanish-language publication of the Chicago Tribune where she shot and edited her projects and conducted weekly live recordings and streams from the studios. Ramírez returned to NBCUniversal Local in 2019 where she produces and edits digital video content primarily in Spanish for Telemundo Chicago and NBC Chicago.
Her work has received industry recognition including a Midwest Emmy Award and a Peter Lisagor Award for the NBC Chicago Docuseries ‘Vaccinated State'. She has also received a Silver Dome Award for social media work with Telemundo Chicago.
Ramírez graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Television Post Production and a minor in Latin American Studies.
