Metra Trains Halted Near Ogilvie Transportation Center Due to Gas Leak

    All inbound and outbound Metra trains were halted near Chicago’s Ogilvie Transportation Center due to a gas leak Monday afternoon, officials announced.

    Trains could not enter or depart Ogilvie around 12:45 p.m. due to the leak, but just after 1 p.m. service was restored, Metra said in a service alert. 

    The location of the gas leak was not immediately known. It was not clear how long any delays might be.
