Art Smith May Helm Lady Gaga's Father's Resto
Joe Germanotta to open New York restaurant, reportedly with Art Smith as chef

Art Smith has praised Lady Gaga's music with providing the soundtrack for his intensive weight loss program, so it would only make sense that the Chicago-based chef would be willing to go into business with a member of her family.
Grub Street New York reports that Joe Germanotta, Lady Gaga's father, is opening an NYC restaurant around Thanksgiving called Joanne, with Smith as the head chef.
Smith is the owner of Chicago's popular Table Fifty-Two restaurant and gained fame as Oprah Winfrey's go-to chef.
Smith neither confirmed or denied the rumor when contacted, but Germonotta has reportedly been telling friends that Smith has signed on.
