SING SONG: It's that time of year again to crown the Windy City Gay Idol. Chicago-area GLBT singers will be competing for top honors in the 9th annual competition. Several preliminary rounds will be held leading up to the finals, including tonight at Crew. Winners will be selected by audience and judges' votes. 9 p.m., 4810 N. Broadway, $5-$10

SEEING STARS: Every third Thursday of the month the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum hosts "Adler After Dark," a chance to check out the exhibits while enjoying cocktails and appetizers against the backdrop of the Chicago skyline. House music master DJ Sean Alvarez spins. 6-10 p.m.,
