SING SONG: It's that time of year again to crown the Windy City Gay Idol. Chicago-area GLBT singers will be competing for top honors in the 9th annual competition. Several preliminary rounds will be held leading up to the finals, including tonight at Crew. Winners will be selected by audience and judges' votes. 9 p.m., 4810 N. Broadway, $5-$10

SEEING STARS: Every third Thursday of the month the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum hosts "Adler After Dark," a chance to check out the exhibits while enjoying cocktails and appetizers against the backdrop of the Chicago skyline. House music master DJ Sean Alvarez spins. 6-10 p.m.,

VINE TIMES: Cityscape Bar, located on the 15th floor of the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza, hosts its April "Vino with a View" wine sampling tonight. Guests can sip and swirl a variety of wines from Tenzing Wine and Spirits and receive 20 percent off dinner at ItaliAsia Restaurant afterward. 6-8 p.m., 350 W. Mart Center Dr, FREE

BIRD BURGERS: ManBQue partners with Little Italy's Three Aces tonight for an evening of burgers and beer. Chef Matt Troost is featuring the "Death from Above" duck burger, an all duck meat patty, topped with a duck egg, bourbon prune jam and apple-spiced coleslaw, paired with a New Holland Golden Cap beer. 7 p.m., 1321 W.
